The elite are looking for places to live slowly – but not too slowly

“I used to think that resting was a luxury. But now, living slowly – enjoying – regenerating is a long-term investment for health and spirit. ” – Ms. Hoang Anh, a senior manager in Hanoi shared after three weeks in Hoi An.

As the work cycle becomes increasingly stressful, more and more people no longer choose to “quickly take a break” of 2-3 days like before, but instead start to switch to long-term vacations – to truly recover, balance and enjoy. This lifestyle is no longer a trend, but is becoming a new choice for the elite – those who have the means, but also have their own standards for quality of life.

Lifelong settlement trend: living deeply, living selectively

According to the Booking.com 2024 survey, nearly 70% of Vietnamese people want a vacation that improves their sleep and mental health. Notably, 32% of them plan to stay for a long time in a quiet place with its own identity – a place not just to rest, but to live.

Hoi An – once honored as “Asia’s Leading Resort City” – is increasingly chosen as a long-term residence. This is a destination for remote workers, overseas Vietnamese, international experts, and successful families – those who pursue a balanced lifestyle between culture – nature – modernity.

According to Savills Vietnam report, in just the last two years, the number of foreigners and overseas Vietnamese looking for long-term accommodation in Hoi An has increased by nearly 40% - clearly reflecting the need to live with identity, but still fully connected.

Live in the spirit, but not without comfort

Hoi An has long been known as a living space imbued with identity, a place where traditional tiled roof architecture, ancient riverside towns and rare East-West cultural exchanges converge. Not only attracting tourists, Hoi An is also gradually becoming a destination for those who crave a life value with depth and cohesion. Statistics from the city show that in 2024, Hoi An welcomed more than 4.42 million visitors, of which over 80% were international visitors - a number that shows the special appeal of the heritage land, not only because of the landscape, but also because of its unique "soul".

That attraction is also shaping a new living trend: living in the midst of identity – but not separated from amenities. According to CBRE, 63% of coastal resort real estate buyers in Vietnam prioritize projects with architecture associated with local culture – not just for short-term vacations, but to truly belong .

Today's generation - from successful Vietnamese, overseas Vietnamese returning home to investors looking for a second home - all set increasingly high living standards: high-speed Wi-Fi, private offices, health care areas, study spaces for children and closed-loop utilities according to international standards. CBRE 2024 recorded that up to 58% of high-end real estate buyers choose the model of "local architecture combined with international utilities", especially when aiming for long-term residence or profitable investment.

“I have stayed in many luxury resorts in Bali, but still felt lost. But in Hoi An, in a tiled-roof house with a garden and a small path to the riverbank – I felt like I really belonged.” — Ms. Mai Chi, Vietnamese Australian

The An Heritage – a balance between peace and modernity

Leading the wave of lifestyle shift, The An Heritage is planned as an integrated resort urban area - a place that defines a new standard of living: global living in the heart of heritage.

Each house here is designed as a multi-purpose villa with 4-5 floors, nearly 5m high ceiling, private garden and elevator waiting area - a rare detail in Hoi An, helping to enhance the living space, while expanding the commercial exploitation capacity according to the boutique hotel model. In particular, 100% of the houses have two or more open sides, both receiving natural wind and optimizing light in each living space.

The unique highlight in the design of The An Heritage is the harmonious feng shui land: the front faces a bustling commercial axis - convenient for business, the back is adjacent to the park and swimming pool - where residents enjoy privacy and peace. The living space is optimally planned to simultaneously serve three purposes: living - investing - relaxing.

A house can be flexibly arranged with up to 14 functional rooms, suitable for many generations living together, being both an ideal place to live and a valuable asset for sustainable profit exploitation.
